Kumasi Dotehene, Nana Oteng Kuffour Kearteng II has stressed the need for former President John Dramani Mahama to respect the laws of the country.

He adviced him to take his electoral grievances to the court of competence for redress. That is, if he feels the 2020 general elections results was rigged in favour of Nana Akuffo-Addo.

He made this known to ghnewspress.com‘s correspondent, Kwaku Addai in Kumasi today. Nana Kwarteng II admonished the former president to advise supporters of his party who have resorted to violence. Also, he asked that they put their actions to a halt for the sake of peace and stability.

Nana Kuffour noted that under the rules that govern elections in the country, any candidate who feel cheated have the constitutional right to seek court redress. Of this, twenty-one days have been made available to file legal suit against the winning opponent.

Therefore, Mahama is free to exercise his constitutional mandate to seek justice without opposition.
”Ghanaians must treat the NDC with contempt or regard them as people discussing their plight with the air”. ”Since they have not presented their grievances with evidence to the Court to compel Ghanaians to sympathize with them”, Nana said.
