A few weeks ago MTN Ghana indicated that effective April 02 2021, MOMO users will not be able to withdraw money without their ID cards.
This initiative by MTN is said to safeguard the security of MOMO users from the harm of Fraudulent people who are all over the system.
The qualified ID cards that can be used during this transactions include: Voters ID, Helath Insurance, Passport, Driver License and must be the card that was issued at the point of your registration of the account.
As at this morning, Many Persons have made it their conversation across as they are sent back home to get their ID cards before they can get money from their wallets. While some people say the initiative is one of the best, others says it is worrisome as they have to walk back home on long distances to pick their ID cards.
