‘Ubor Kunji Tamanga’ Chief Of Saboba, Grieves Over Abandoned Projects In The Area

The Chief of Kperigu, Ubor Kunji Tamanga in the Saboba District of the Northern Region has expressed disappointment in successive Government especially their appointees for halting the completion of a school building in the area.

According to him, the area District Assembly and the Akufo government has failed hugely to ensure the Kperigu Primary School is completed.

He bemoaned that, the area District Assembly is gambling with the school structure, and goes around to spew falsehood about the progress of work.

“The leadership of the Saboba District Assembly lied to donors that, the abandoned school project has been completed. This came to light when furnitures was brought to the school for students to use, surprisingly, the school is at the foundation level and yet to be raised”.

He revealed that, the person’s who brought the furnishers for the school pupils to use expressed shock over the state of the school building.

To him, he was compelled to receive the chairs and park them at the palace awaiting for the completion of the school, adding that the chairs will not be save at the old structure.

“I received the desks because I don’t want them to take it away as they took away money meant to put up the school”, he noted.

Currently, the deplorable school structure caters for pupils at the primary level.

The old school building has develop a bizzer cracks on the wall, destroyed doors and windows.

Pupils of the school carry stools from home to the school, or sit on the bare floor to learn.

Chief Ubor Kunji Tamanga told our news team that, authorities in the Saboba District have woefully failed in delivery their responsibilities.

He further appealed to his Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo to appointe onr Hon. Thomas Moanang Togarvi to become next Chief Executive officer of the Saboba District.

He said ”Mr Thomas is a visionary who can champion government agenda and policies for the development of the area, adding that, though other’s have showed interest in the DCE position, but the roles Hon. Thomas Moanang Togarvi had played as an assemblyman in the area in dispute resolution, land issues and several others proves that when nominated, he will coordinate and champion the decisions and policies of government very well in the area.

“I am appealing to Nana Akuffo Addo, to appointe Togarvi as the District Chief Executive, I Know the President is a peace loving president and Togarvi can work with him to ensure peace and development in the area”.
