The First gentleman of the land and President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo and the First Lady Mrs. Rebecca, Vice President Alhaji Dr. Bawumiah and wife Mrs. Samira and some other top Government Officials shall be taking the AstraZeneca vaccine that got into the country last week.
The President in his address to the Nation on Sunday evening of February 28th 2021, made this known as he encouraged all citizens to do well to partake in the vaccination and ignore critics that say that the vaccine is meant to wipe out the African continent.
He also added that, as the Father of the land, he will not want to jeopardize anyone’s health and so with regards to persons saying women will be barren, men going infertile and so forth and so on are not true about this vaccine. Mr. Fellow Ghanaians also entreated that all citizens should trust the FDA for the safety of the vaccine.
