SC Orders Lawyers To File Closing Addresses By 17th February, 2021

The Ongoing election petition at the Supreme Court of Ghana has had Ghanaian citizens and even the whole world following with alacrity as to what will be the final verdict at the end of the day.

The Supreme Court has finally ordered lawyers of the various parties to file their final or closing addresses by the close of 17th February 2021, Wednesday. The directive was announced by the Chief Justice, Kwasi Anin-Yeboah in court on Thursday, 11th February 2021.

Chief Justice Anin-Yeboah asked that both parties file their case at the same time as “per the ruling read says that, the case of the 1st and 2nd respondents are deemed closed”

“This court hence orders that the parties herein shall simultaneously file their respective closing addresses on or before the said date above. The petition is hereby adjourned to Thursday 18th February, 2021 for counsel in this petition to highlight on the written addresses or submissions so far for the petition to be adjourned for judgement”.
