A four year old girl has been crushed to death after a mud kitchen collapsed on her in a community closer to Koforidua in the Eastern Region of Ghana.
In what may have been a deadly accident, it has been revealed that the little girl met her untimely death after her mother has prepared the family’s evening meal and she together with her sister who is also five years decided to eat in the kitchen which was built with clay.
Unfortunately, the kitchen collapsed on them. The 5-year old girl though survived, but she is in a critical condition. Luck, however eluded the four year old child who was found dead when she was seen.
Her body has since been despotied at the St. Joseph hospital. The other sister who survived the collapse is currently receiving treatment at the Koforidua General hospital.
The cause of the collapse of the mud kitchen is not known at the moment but it is believed that the rains over the weekend weakened the foundation of the mud kitchen and caused it collapsed on the two children.

The Police together with the National Disaster and Management Organization (NADMO) has began investigation into the matter.
