A social media activist and an Aide to Lawyer Sammy Gyamfi, National Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress, has threatened to expose allies of Mr Koku Anyidoho in the NDC, if he is not expelled from the party.
Affectionately known by many as De Accra Mayor, the NDC Activist threw his weight behind the number of petitions seeking to have the former Deputy General Secretary of the party, Koku Anyidoho expelled from the party.
The Outspoken Deputy Bono Regional Communication Officer of the NDC, Mr Eric Adjei and a host of other NDC Activists including Alex Biney and Kwabena Yeboah Korankye, have all petitioned the National Executive Committee of the party, requesting it to expel Mr Anyidoho over what they described as gross misconduct.
Mr Adjei explained that Koku Anyidoho has consistently taken to his twitter page to make pronouncements which damages the reputation of the party.
Citing various posts including one which Mr Anyidoho declared support for President Akufo-Addo on grounds that “the President is a product of the Nkrumah ideological institute,” Mr Adjei said “Koku’s conduct is contrary to the express provisions of the Constitution of the NDC and his actions and inactions are inimical to the progress of the party.”
But reacting to these developments in a facebook post, De Accra Mayor indicated that he expects to see Mr Koku Anyidoho “sacked by next week”.
He added, “I will mention names of his allies covering him and I will apologise to Allotey Jacob’s! It’s about time we get serious”.
