Covid-19: All Social Gatherings Banned-Akufo Addo

The Ghanaian President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo has addressed the Ghanaian populace again and below is what he has got for all Ghanaians on Covid-19.

In his 23rd COVID update today, the president said Ghana’s COVID-19 case situation is getting worse and as a result has placed a ban on all social gathering activities.
President Akufo-Addo also announced the continual closure of pubs, beaches and nightclubs as a way to curb the further spread of COVID in Ghana.

“For the avoidance of doubts, I want to announce the immediate ban on funerals, nightclubs and parties.”
“All social gathering activities are banned. Workshops and conferences are allowed with strict adherence to protocols. Funeral burials must all be held with the protocols in place,” President Akufo-Addo announced.

Meanwhile, President Akufo-Addo did not announce a lockdown as many citizens have been looking forward to.
He has also revealed that coronavirus vaccines will arrive in Ghana by March this year.

He revealed this in his 23rd update on the virus on Sunday, January 31.

“…By the end of June 17, 600,000 vaccine doses would have been procured for the Ghanain people. The earliest vaccine will be in the country by March.”
